Vivian H. Palmer of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Owensboro, died on July 28, 2012 after a brief illness. Vivian was born in Moline, IL on Oct. 17, 1928. Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Jones and son, Larry Jones. Vivian is survived by her husband, Chuck Amptman of Tucson; son, Steven (Vickie) of Grapevine, TX; and daughter, Charlotte Kay of Leesville, SC. She is also survived by grandchildren, Chris and Cary Palmer and great grandson Adison Palmer. A service will be held on Monday, Aug. 6, at 10:00 a.m. in Rosehill Cemetery Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be private. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements. Vivan was a wonderful Mother, she had lost one son Larry Hugh Jones to the Vietnam War. She would always come to Kentucky for long visits. She was so soft spoken, not knowing a stranger anywhere. Her daughter was a Doctor with the United States Army but is now retired.
