Addie McKillip was the daugher of James McKillip and Elizabeth Fleek, and grand daughter of Conrad Fleek and Nancy Leatherman. She married William Hotaling on July 20, 1888 in Princeton, White County, Indiana. They had one son, James Oris Hotaling. The couple seperated after 1910. Addie and her son went to Denver for their health and William went back to Ira, Cayuga County, New York. James Oris studied dentistry and married Mary Witlow who was also a student of Dentistry. Both James Oris and Addie's Illness became worse and they died within months of each other. Dr. Mary Witlow Hotaling remarried Bert Laws in 1928.
Addie's siblings include: William Walker McKillip, George Burton McKillip, James Oliver McKillip, John H. McKillip, Sarah McKillip, Eva McKillip, Ella McKillip, and Clarence McKillip. Also Addie had 5 1/2 siblings. Stergis McKillip, Francis McKillip, Nancy Caroline McKillip, Mary Elizabeth McKillip, and Mary Ann Fleek.
William Walker McKillip married Josephine Rich Addison and lived in Tipton County Indiana. Ella McKillip married Marshall Eastes and lived in Remington, Indiana. Eva McKillip also lived in Remington but remained unmarried. Mary Ann Fleek married Mount Etna Jordan. All other siblings died in childhood or young adulthood.

4th I will to my husband William Hotaling the balance of what remains.
5th I hereby authorize Dr. J. P. Pothuisje to take charge of paying all bills from my Property in Remington, Indiana, also from a Four Hundred dollar Mortgage held in the Wolcott Bank of Remington, Indiana and One Hundred Dollars in the Central Savings Bank, Denver Colo.
