A service for James Lester Shelton, 38, 3409 Huntsville Road, Florence, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Morrison-Elkins Funeral Home Chapel, Florence. The Rev. Steve Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Florence City Cemetery.
He died Tuesday at his home after a brief illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County, a member of Central Baptist Church and a member of Operating Engineers Local 320.
Survivors include his mother, Bessie Shelton, Florence; sister, Audrey Brown (Wilford), Sheffield; aunt, Miss Jodie Richey, Florence; nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be Doyle Bevis, James Johnson, Donald Lindsey, Terry Willett, Billy Moore and Ernest Swinea.
