George Washington Sizemore was the son of William & Elizabeth Barnett Sizemore. He was born in old Benton Co AL and moved with his widowed mother & 3 brothers to Blount Co by 1860. His father is buried in an unmarked grave at the Barnett Cemetery near Muscadine AL.

The George Washington & Mary Susan (Nobles) Sizemore family circa 1906, at their home in Holly Pond, Cullman Co, AL. All children are in the photo except Molly Virginia (1877-1882), Savannah Caldonia who m. Edmon W Chambers, and Henry Levi (1881-1899) who died from a broken neck as a result of being thrown from his horse.
