William Bryson Arbuckle married Frances Lorana Posten on May 5, 1886.

William B., son of James and Mary Arbuckle, was born in Highland County, Ohio on March 4, 1856. When two years old, he came with his parents to Iowa making the trip in a covered wagon. The family located six miles southeast of Villisca where he lived for twenty-four years, coming to Villisca in 1882 to engage in buying and shipping livestock.

On May 5, 1886, he was united in marriage with Miss Loraine Posten and to them were born eight children; four boys and four girls. They are Mrs. E. E. Weidemand and Roy and Clyde Arbuckle of Villisca; Mrs, Paul Cartwright, Corning; Walter Arbuckle of near Carbon; Mrs. Paul Griffith, Denison; Mrs. A.B. Johns, Creston; and C.L. Arbuckle, Lakeport, California.

Mr. Arbuckle united with the Christian Church of Villisca in 1894 where he retained his membership until death. In 1898 he received his appointment as postmaster of Villisca from President McKinley and served in that position for sixteen years, after which he was engaged for several years in the mercantile business here.

He and his family moved to a farm near Carbon fifteen years ago where they lived until April 1 of last year when they return to Villisca to make there home on fifth street.

Besides his wife and eight children, Mr. Arbuckle leaves 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a sister, Miss Eva Arbuckle of Villisca and a brother, the Rev. J.C. Arbuckle of Columbus, Ohio.
