FRANCIS JOHN POWER of Avonmore, Stillorgan,
late Manager of the National Bank, Dublin
born in the city of Waterford April 4th A.D. 1824
deceased Dublin March 27th A.D. 1874
this stone was erected to his memory
by MARY his wife
and some of his friends who loved him
and who have been admitted to participate
in placing a memorial
over remains that had been the earthly dwelling place
of one of the noblest, gentlest, most beneficent spirit
they had ever known
or can ever hope to know on earth
