Jean C. Sheeley, 84, formerly of Walnut Street and recently Good Shepherd Home, passed away at 2:44 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

She was born March 20, 1928, in Carey to the late Jerome and Leocadia (Pahl) Weinandy. She married Leonard Frankart Sept. 11, 1954, and he died May 18, 1970; she then married Paul Sheeley June 14, 1974, and he died March 5, 2003.

Surviving are two children, Nancy J. (Chris) Fout of Fostoria and Randy M. (Lori) Frankart of Springboro; three grandchildren, Sara Fout, and Greg and Doug Frankart; and a sister, Rita Kin of Tiffin

Jean retired from Allied-Signal-Autolite, Fostoria. She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, past president and member of Catholic Ladies of Columbia, local 533 UAW retirees, AARP, and an American Red Cross volunteer.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a Christian wake service will begin at 3:45 p.m.

Her Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Cemetery at a later date.
