Lamar Beck Funeral Today at Clayton
CLAYTON - Services for Lamar R. Beck, 64, of Clayton will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hunter's chapel here, burial in Antioch Methodist Cemetery near Clayton.
Mr. Beck, a retired farmer, died Thursday following a heart attack.
He was a former member of Rabun County Board of Education and a member of Rabun Gap Lodge No. 265 F&AM and the American Legion.
He also was a veteran of World War II, during which he was a prisoner of war for several months in Germany.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lesel Beck; daughter, Mrs. Laverne Jones of Forest Park; sons, Albert Beck of Morrow, Warren Beck of Clayton and Luther Beck of Commerce; sisters, Mrs. Hattie Love of Atlanta and Mrs. Mary West of Clinton, S.C., and brothers, Hoyt Beck of Atlanta and Andrew Beck of Linwood, Pa.
