Mr. Cromling was born in Elyria, June 20, 1881 and lived here all his life. He was a cost clerk at the National Tube company for 32 years and later was employed by the New York Central and by the Granite Block & Coal Company. He was a member of St. Agnes Church, and of the Knights of Columbus.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Christine Engles Cromling; two sons, Richard of San Diego, California and William of Elyria; two grandchildren, Richard Cromling and Charles Cromling III. Another son, Charles Jr., a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, died on the USS Indianapolis July 30, 1945.
The body is at the Welsh Funeral Home where friends may call. Funeral services will be held from St. Agnes Church at 9:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Fr. Leo Brussell officiating. BUrial will be made in St. Mary Cemetery.
