Cumberland News; Cumberland, Maryland, Wednesday, August 7, 1974: "FROSTBURG--Mrs. Bridget Bryson, 82, of 204 Braddock Heights, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. Born in Carlos, she was a daughter of the late Timothy and Bridget (Donahue) Cullen, and was the widow of John Bryson. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the sodality. Surviving are a son James S. Bryson, Cresaptown; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Wintermyer, LaVale and Mrs. George Layman, here; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Myers, Hanover, Pa.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m."

Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Layman, Ernest Bryson, John Cullen, Francis Cullen, Paul Morgan and Gary Egan. A christian wake service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today."
