David Morris was a stonemason, born 10 February 1829 in Kentucky. His Parents were James Morris (1802-aft1880) and Martha "Patsy" Jones Morris, (1803-aft1880).
He died 11 December 1909 in Taylor County, Kentucky and is buried in Jones Creek Cemetery.
On 26 March 1854 he married Mary Ellen Carlile. They had 4 children:
James Henry Morris (1854-1903)
Sarah E. Morris, (1858- )
Arthur, (John A.) Morris, 1877- )
Amanda E. Morris (1878-1957.
David served in the U. S. Army during the Civil War. He was in Company F, Kentucky Infantry Regiment. He was in the same regiment as my Great grandfather, Samuel S. Allen.
