Raymond Zunker, age 93, a resident of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation
Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 3606 Forest Circle, Manitowoc, entered into
eternal rest on Wednesday at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
Raymond was born on July 31, 1914, in the town of Manitowoc Rapids. He was
the son of the late Henry and Lillian (Meyer) Zunker. On Aug. 12, 1939, he
was married to Grace Hartl at the parsonage of an Evangelical Lutheran church
in Dubuque, Iowa. Ray was employed for 55 years at Manitowoc Engineering, where
he retired. He always said, "never missed a day, never sick a day, never late
a day." Ray enjoyed working with his hands, whether it was painting a house,
making firewood, doing yard work or just keeping busy. He always enjoyed
traveling when on vacation and attending local picnics.

He was preceded in death by one brother; seven sisters; one son in infancy; and
one grandson: Mark Zunker.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harrigan Parkside Funeral
Home. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Robert Kujawski.
Cremation will have taken place, with burial of the cremains to take place at
Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday
from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, North 11th and St. Clair
streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
