Mrs. Joe Pheasant, who has been seriously ill in a Norfolk hospital for several days, was reported Monday to be considerably improved. The Pheasants lived here at one time, Mr. Pheasant operating a grocery store.

Mrs. J. W. Pheasant
Mrs. J. W. Pheasant, 416 South First street, Norfolk, died at 8:30 Saturday evening at a local hospital. She was 75 years of age. She entered the hospital Jan. 15 suffering from a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mrs. Pheasant is survived by her husband, three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Heckendorf of Milwaukee, Mrs. F. H. Manske of Norfolk and Mrs. Anna Shannon of Norfolk; and one brother, Arthur Apfel of Tilden.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Manske, 106 Madison avenue and at 2 o'clock at Grace Lutheran church with the Rev. H. K. Niermann of Meadow Grove in charge. Interment will be in Prospect Hill cemetery.
