Marilyn L. McCabe "Sis" 82, of De Pere, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012. She was born on February 23, 1930 in De Pere, WI to the late Herman Johnson and Lucille (Hermsen) Barlament.

Marilyn was a graduate of De Pere High School. She married James McCabe on May 28, 1949 at St. Mary's Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1988.

Marilyn was a member of the T.O.P.S. Club, the Red Hatters, the De Pere Ladies Auxiliary, and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.

She enjoyed needle work, painting, ceramics, walking, bike riding, and most of all taking care of her yard.

Marilyn had a vibrant personality and courageous spirit. She traveled the world with her family and enjoyed bus trips with her friends.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters : Sandy (Bart) Janz, Sally (Scott) Kazik, and Debbie (Norb) Brice; grandchildren: Jason (Jennifer) Janz, Jocelyn (Joseph) Zichterman, Meagan (Allan) Glass, Melissa Fletcher, Jacqueline (James) Brusoe, James (Kelly) Kazik, Scott (Kathleen) Kazik, Sarah (Mark) Hinderman, Amanda (Chad) Johnson, and Andrew Brice; and 27 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Elaine Van Domlen and Dorothy Vander Loop and brothers-in-law Elmer Kerkoff and Clarence Vande Hei.

She was preceded in death by her husband James; her parents Herman and Lucille; grandson Jeremy Janz; and siblings Jack Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Kay Bongean.

Friends and family may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A De Pere Ladies Auxiliary service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation will continue at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish on the corner of Lourdes Avenue and Suburban Drive in De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem officiating.
