Leo was born in Oklahoma Territory the son of C.N. and Lydia Roach. He grew to manhood in Chetopa, Kansas. After his marriage to Gladys Clark in 1912, they moved to Oswego, Kansas, where he was employed in the Condon Bank until he moved to Broomfield, Colorado and then on to Los Angeles, California. He was a resident of California with the exception of the five years he spent as a State Bank Examiner of Arizona residing at Phoenix.
In 1945 he went into the realty businness, becoming the leading realtor in Imperial Valley. He joined the Masonic Lodge in Oswego, KS and retained his membershp in that chapter to the time of his death. He was a Shriner, 32nd Degree.
