She was born June 22, 1927, in Pepper Pike, Ohio, and came to Venice in 1979 from Mantua, Ohio. She was an Avon representative. She was a member of Epiphany Cathedral.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary J. McGill of Venice; a son, Bruce of Las Vegas; a brother, Ed Cowan of Mantua; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
