Beate Of Westfield, PA Age 88, died Monday, May 12, 2003, in the Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Born January 8, 1915 in Hector Township, PA, she was the daughter of Walter and Eva Cole Hess. On September 14, 1935, in Hector Township, she married Lioanel Abbott, who predeceased her in 1986. She was employed as a LPN by Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport for over 20 years. She was a member of the Harrison Valley C&MA Church. Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Jo (Joseph) Ahearn of Westfield; a son, Eugene L. Abbott of Westfield; two daughters-in-law, Barbara Ann Cady of Wellsville, NY, and Sharon Abbott of Corning, NY; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Lioanel Abbott, Jr. and Tyrone Abbott; four brothers; and three sisters. Friends may call Tuesday, May 13th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Benjamin R. Olney Funeral Home, Ulysses, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Harrison Valley C&MA Church. The Rev. Timothy H. Miller, Pastor, will officiate.
