He was born in Brooks.
Surviving: parents, Spurgeon and Mary Bragg Ward of Keatley Springs; brothers, Gary, James, David, all of Hinton; sisters, Barbara Sears, Betty Woodrum, Margie Gross, Peggy Meadows, Carol Ward, all of Hinton, Deborah Toler of Roanoke, Va.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Fox Cemetery, Brooks, with the Rev. James Toler officiating. Friends may call from to 9 to 10:30 a.m. today at E.M. Meadows Funeral Home, Hinton.
