WILLIAM CAMPBELL DIES FOLLOWING TWO-HOUR ILLNESS

An illness of two hours following a cerebral hemorrhage proved fatal last Saturday morning to William Campbell, well-known stock buyer and farm owner who died at his home three miles north of Rossville, Indiana in Madison Township, Carroll County, at 5:30 a.m. He was stricken shortly before daylight.

The deceased was born in Carroll County on August 29, 1874, the son of Albert and Mary Campbell. At his demise he was 56 years, 8 months and 24 days of age. He was united in marriage to Cora Burkhalter who survives. He also leaves one brother, Ross Campbell of Ockley and two half-sisters: Mrs. William Fetterhoff of Owasco and Mrs. Debbie Clark of Pratt, Kansas, and one step-sister, Mrs. John Hufford of near Rossville.

He held membership in the Blue Lodge of Masons at Rossville, the Delphi Command Knights Temple, and the Baptist Church. During the past several years he had formed a wide acquaintance over the southern and western parts of the county due to the fact that he had clerked many public sales.

Funeral services were held at the residence Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock with the Reverend E. Duane Thistlewaite of the Rossville M.E. Church in charge. The Delphi Knights Templar participated in the service. Burial was made in the Rossville Cemetery.
