Henry A. Bauch, 73, of 7510 Bauch Rd., Town of Manitowoc Rapids, died Tuesday evening, May 5, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. The Rev. Keith A. Haberkorn will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Bauch was born Aug. 19, 1907, in the Town of Manitowoc rapids, son of the late Henry and Meta Wicke Bauch. He was educated at St. John Lutheran School, Newtonburg, and married Eleanor Wernecke Aug. 11, 1934, at Newtonburg. They farmed in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids and Mr. Bauch was also employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor, a daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Marvin Laabs of Town of Manitowoc Rapids; a sister and brother-in-law, Minnie and Henry Wiederboldt of California; three grandchildren, David, Naomi and Daniel Laabe and other relatives and friends. Two sisters, Ella Raether and Esther Ploeckelmann, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and at the church after 11 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
