Mrs. Emma E. Bartel, 58, of 1901 Western avenue, lifelong resident of the city,
died shortly before noon today at the Holy Family hospital. She has been in
failing health several months.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the St. Johns Evangelical
church, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Bartel, nee Emma Dusold, was born in this city in 1884 and 35 years ago was
married to William Bartel. Mr. Bartel died in 1935.
Survivors are a daughter, Miss Bernice Bartel an office employe of the Herald-
Times; two brothers, Fred of Green Bay and Edward of this city.

..The body will be moved to the church at 11 a.m. tomorrow from the Pfeffer Funeral
home...Mrs. Bartel was a member of the Rebekahs, Eagles Auxiliary, G.U.G. Germania
and the Sewing Circle of the church. Tonight at 7 o’clock memorial services will be
conducted at the funeral home by the Germanias and at 7:30 by the Eagles auxiliary.
