BLUE SPRINGS – Nathan Eugene Bramlett, 83, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born July 11, 1929, in Union County to Philip Wesley Bramlett and Mamie Alice Howard Bramlett. He was a truck driver for Brookwood. As a teenager, following his father's death, he helped support and raise his sisters and brothers as well as helping to raise some of his own grandchildren. He always put other people's needs before his own. He was a member of the Parks Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with the Rev. Frank Wilder officiating. Burial will be in the Parks Cemetery. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Clarice Rosa "Nell" Windham Bramlett of Blue Springs; two daughters Kathy Bramlett Reed and Mary Jane Owens, both of Blue Springs; two sons, John Bramlett and David Bramlett, both of Blue Springs; two sisters, Lorene Bramlett of Blue Springs, Mo., and Mary France and Boyd of Memphis; three brothers, Frank Bramlett of Ingomar, Philip Bramlett III of New Albany and Kenneth Bramlett of Blue Springs; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Wanda Bramlett Rodgers; a son, James Joshua "Josh" Bramlett; and two brothers, Billy Bramlett and Robert Bramlett.

Pallbearers will be Mike Bramlett, Tommy Hearn, Tyler Hill, Devin Bramlett, Phil Bramlett III and Mark Nobles. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Lyons, J.D. Roberts and Joe Bryant.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
