Margaret J. Gull was born in Preston Co. West Virginia on May 11, 1839, and came with her parents to Clayton Co. in 1852. She married D.U. Gull, who preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1897. To this union, 14 children were born, 10 of whom survive their mother; Robert A., Watson E., Ella Dodge, Dorothy Penfold, all of Colesburg; John A., Edgemont, S.D., Minerva Lehman, Adair; Emma Moser, Greeley; Clara Burgess; Lillian Anderegg and Charles U. of Graham.
She died on April 12, 1908 at home. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery, Colesburg.
