The death of Mrs. Dorothy Penfold occurred Monday evening, under peculiarly sad circumstances. She had been for some time at home with her brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Gull, in North Dakota. When her health failed she expressed a desire to return here, where the greater portion of her life had been spent. Although her malady was know to be incurable, it was hoped that a return to home and friends would prolong her life, so the journey was undertaken. In company with her brother and his wife, she arrived on Sunday, her death occurring at 8 o'clock the following evening. The following brother and sisters survive; Robert. A. Gull, John, Charlotte and Watson and Mesdames C.P. Burgess, Minerva Lehman, Emma Moser and Lillian Anderegg. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. O.J. Felter from the Methodist church on Wednesday afternoon, and were largely attended.
Note: Her grave marker is on the side of her father and mothers stone.
