Mrs. Dean moved to Jones County in 1909 to visit a brother living at Tuxedo. She met and later married Mr. Dean in 1909. The couple made their home on a farm near Anson until 1918 when they moved into Anson.
Survived by four daughters - Bessie and Myrtle Dean; Mrs. W.B. Smith; Mrs. E.E. Rice; two sons - Lloyd and Sam Dean; three sisters - Mrs. Leona Hodges, Mrs. C.D. Adams, Mrs. J.R. Martin; 20 grandchildren.
Services were held at First Methodist Church in Anson.
