Richard Lee Basso, 51, of 2313 McBride, Sugar Creek, died today at the Independence Hospital. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Basso was an empoyee of the maintenance department of general Motors Assembly Division. He was a Army Veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Basso, 912 Walnut; a stepson, James Lee Harrison, Missoula, Mont., and two grandchildren.
Services 10 a.m. Monday at the carson Chapel, Independence; burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
