Peter Ochs Dies At Great Bend
Peter Ochs, 76, a Rush countian since 1891, died at the St. Rose hospital in Great Bend last Thursday afternoon.
Born February 12, 1871, in Schoenfeldt, Russia, he came to Rush county in the fall of 1891 and since that time had been a resident of the Otis community. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Otis.
He leaves his wife, Lea, and two sons, Emanuel of the home and Dan of Bison. He also leaves five grandchildren and one great grandchild. A daughter, Pauline, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the Otis high school auditorium Sunday afternoon at 2:00 with services in charge of Rev. Kurt G. Schettler, pastor of the Otis Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery at Otis.
