Dwight R. "Bob" Starling, 69, of Marietta, went home to be with the Lord at his home at 5:45pm on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He was born on June 12, 1943, at Macksburg, Ohio, a son of Charles and Mary Hawkins Starling. Bob retired from Wal-Mart in 2005, was a member of Riverside Church of Christ in Williamstown and enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, 1 son and 1 daughter, 2 grandchildren: 3 step children: 5 step grandchildren: 8 step great grandchildren, his dog Missy, and 1 brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Starling and infant sister Mary Lou.
Special thanks to Dr. Cawley and all the staff at Strecker Cancer Center for the support given to Bob and his family the last 6 years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday (July 20) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Tunnel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 & 6-8.
