Annie "Angie" Hale Crews, 85 (b. 9 Dec 1911), of Hoboken, died early Wednesday morning (5 Feb 1997) at her residence following an extended illness.

A native and lifelong resident of the Brantley County area, she was a homemaker and farmed with her late husband, Henry L. Crews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank Lester Hale and Missouri Crews Hale; two sisters, Idell Stokes and Dollie Rowland and three brothers, Everett Hale, Elmer Hale and Alvin Hale.

Survivors include two daughters, Hazel Griffin of Hoboken and Luvinia Stettler of Laughlin, NV; two sisters, Euretha O'Neal of Savannah and Juanita Wilder of Columbus; a brother Eugene Hale of Hoboken; six grandchildren, Boyd Griffin of Savannah, Beth Hayes of Waycross, Brenda Dickerson of Hoboken, Greg Stettler and Cheryl Wooten of Laughlin, NV and Brett Stettler of Thornton, CO; eight great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, from the Hoboken Baptist Church with the Rev. Earldene McCorvey and the Rev. Emerson Hayes officiating.

Interment followed in High Bluff Cemetery near Hoboken.

Pallbearers were Ray Thomas, Arthur Joiner, Roy Jordan, Nealo Crews, Jimmy Carter, and Olin Dubose.

Honorary Pallbearers were members of the Fedilis Sunday School Class.

Miles-Odum Funeral Home of Waycross was in charge of arrangements.
