PONIATOWSKI, Georgiana M., age 65 and a resident of Commerce Twp, died on July 16, 2012 after a battle with melanoma.
Georgiana was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. PoniatowskI in 2011.
She is survived by her daughters Katie (Glenn) Weatherly, Judy (Mark) Everest, Kristen (Mark) Newman, Amy (Douglass) Burgdorf, Sarah (Todd) Toccalino; her son Joseph M. Poniatowski; fifteen grandchildren, sisters Gloria (Cass) Ziola and Joan (Mark) Turon and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by brothers, George and Peter Gardynik and her mother Rita Gardynik this year.
Georgiana was a graduate of Oakland University and worked in the claims department with Blue Cross/Blue Shield for over twenty years.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 4300 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield, on Saturday, July 21, at 11:00 a.m. Burial Milford Memorial Cemetery, Milford. Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, Thursday 4:00-9:00 p.m. and Friday 1:00-9:00 p.m. with a Rosary on Friday at 7:00 p.m. For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
