BARNESVILLE Berenice G. Bea Dyer, 100, of Barnesville, died Saturday (Nov. 12, 2005) at Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born May 23, 1905, in Harrietsville, daughter of the late Thomas M. and Cleo (Cantwell) Miller. She was a 1923 graduate of Elk Rural High School near Stafford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Dyer, on May 23, 1977; three sons, Jim, Pat and Bob Dyer; a daughter, Velma Burkhart; four brothers, Glenn, Vernon, Rays and Bill Miller; two sisters, Irene Steen and Minnie Steen.
Mrs. Dyer leaves a son, Thomas (Peggy) Dyer of Santee, Calif; three daughters, Helen (Vallas) Carpenter, Peggy Carpenter and Connie (John) Skinner, all of Barnesville; a sister, Della Helms of Rittman; 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, Barnesville, where service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ed Eberhart officiating. Burial will follow in Gibsons Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Barnesville First Christian Church.
