"After graduating from Durham High School she attended Willamette University and graduated from University of California, Berkeley. Ms. Gage-Brooks earned a law degree from the University of San Francisco in 1973.
"Ms. Gage-Brooks was a businesswoman and worked in the food export/import business in San Francisco. She also worked for the Chico City Attorney's Office and in the insurance business in Chico and Oroville.
"Memberships included the Order of the Eastern Star, Josephine Chapter.
"She is survived by two brothers, Lewis Gage of Reno, Nev., and Donald Gage of San Bernardino.
"Inurnment will be at Chico Cemetery.
"Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners' Crippled Children's Hospital, 1701 19th Ave., San Francisco, 94122, or to Enloe Hospital Cancer Unit."
