Mary Elizabeth Roberts died February 11, 1936 in Sanborn, Wakulla Co., FL.
She left a husband, V.L. Roberts, three daughters, Mrs. T.H. Wilder, Mrs. L.I. Cooper and Miss Vivienne Roberts, seven sons, John, Lee, Luther, Malcolm, Ted, Crandell, and Wilson Roberts, all of Wakulla county, twenty-nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. C.H. Williams, Wauchula, Fla., three brothers Rufus Tucker, Arran, Marion Tucker, Tallahassee, and Oliver Tucker, Sopchoppy, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn the loss.
Mother was taken seriously ill on Friday, February 7, and in spite of medical aid and all that loving hands could do, she passed away at 11:25 the following Tuesday evening.
We miss her very much, and we know that her place can never be filled at home, but we know it was the will of her Lord. We know she was ready to go, and we will try to bear the loss as best we can. She was laid to rest in the Vause cemetery with her loved ones, who have gone on before her.
Dearest mother, you have left us;
And the loss we deeply feel;
But 'tis God who has bereaved us,
And he can all our sorrows heal.
