Now we find her with my God
Wife of Luther Tucker

On Tuesday morning, June 19, our hearts were made sad when the soul of one so dear to our heart, our grandmother, passed into the peaceful sleep of death. Truly it maybe said that she was "full of years and honors."

She was born January 13, 1848 at Charleston, South Carolina, and lived to the age of eighty-six. Her parents moved to Florida when she was a young girl.

She met and married Luther Tucker, deceased. Their home was blessed with five children, Mrs. V. L. Roberts, Mrs. C. H. Williams, Rufus Tucker, M. L. Tucker, and Oliver Tucker, who survive her.

She was a member of the Primitive Baptist church, and a devout Christian until death. Both old and young saw a beautiful characteristic life in her. Her lovable disposition, he happy cheerful smile, brought sunshine into the lives of those around her. But God needed her to smile a bloom in another garden, where suffering and pain is unknown. She was stricken with paralysis a few days before her death. She was such a patient, obedient sufferer, submissive as a child. ‘Tis so sad to part with her, feel the absence in the home, see the vacant chair and the stilled voice to hear no more. Yet there is a mingled joy, when we remember she has listened to the still small voice and answered the summons.

The earthly remains was laid to rest beside her loving husband in the Vause cemetery at Sanborn, Fla. Interment was conducted by Rev. O. N. Revell Published in 1934
