VernaLee Wimmer Kabarrubias Burton, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, stepmother, wife and friend left us to join her Heavenly Father and earthly parents on Thursday, August 26, 2004 surrounded by her loving daughters Ilene and Janet, nieces Delite and Elaine and nephew Doyle. VernaLee was born June 23, 1932 in Neola, Utah to Walter Newport and Zella LuDean Keel Wimmer. She attended West High School in Salt Lake City graduating in 1949. She married Neal John Kabarrubias, September 2, 1950, later divorced but together they had four children. She married Maurice G. Burton, December 21, 1968. VernaLee loved people, gave her heart to them, truly loved mankind. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her husband, Maurice, her loving children which Maurice eventually adopted, Mary Ilene Beglarian, Janet Lee (Steve) Burt, Neal Blaine Burton, Kevin Lynn (Chris) Burton, step-children, Randy Burton, Jodey (Hasting) Greninger, 17 grandchildren, five great-grand-children, sisters Lorraine and Ravola, sister-in-law Alta, many loving nieces and nephews who VernaLee adored and loved very much. Preceded in death by parents, stepson Mike, grandsons Travis and Tadge, three brothers, two sisters. Funeral services conducted Monday, August 30, 2004 at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. (7800 South). Interment Mountain View Cemetery.
