HONAKER – Mrs. Cassandra Lynn Caraway Ball, age 37, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007, at her home.
Born Aug. 22, 1969, in Florence, S.C., she was a daughter of David Allen Caraway of Henderson, N.C., and Patricia Smith Caraway of Florence, S.C. She was a 1987 graduate of South Lakes High School in Reston, Va. She had lived in the Honaker area since 2001 and attended the Full Gospel House of Prayer.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Gladys Showalter, and her maternal grandfather, Hubert Caraway.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, Earnest Ball of the home; one daughter, Amanda Ball, and son, Allen Ball, both of the home; her great-grandmother, Lizzie Caraway of Henderson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Lester and the Rev. Gerald Lester and Honorary Minister Giles Ball officiating. Interment will follow in the Frank Smith Cemetery on Big A Mountain, Va.
Pallbearers will be Greg Tiller, Daniel Curry, Andy Cordle, Gary Ball, Wayne Rasnake and Raymond Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Lambert, Gary Bostic, Leonard Bostic, Henry Showalter and Greg Taylor.
Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Sunday.
