A native of Connecticut, and descendent of a long line of Ancestors originating from the first Puritan Settlers in New England, including Four who sailed the Mayflower; John Tilley, wife Joan (both did not survive the first winter) and Daughter Elizabeth Tilley who later married fellow Mayflower Passenger John Howland, and together had 10 children.
