Mrs. Elijah (Sarah Dodson) Halford, 95, of Greenville died at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, in Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Greenville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Greenville.
Mrs. Halford was born in Bingham, a daughter of Henry and Emarintha Dodson. She married Elijah M. Halford in 1900. He died in 1945.
She was a member of the Parkview Free Methodist Church in Vandalia.
Surviving are son, Kenneth of Decatur; daughters, Mrs. Howard (Freeda) Hastings of Rantoul, Mrs. Russell (Mildred) Neese of Greenville; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A son, two brothers, three half-brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
