Bertha "Albertine" Welm Maurer moved to Springwells (now annexed into Detroit & Dearborn), Michigan, from Germany. She and her husband had at least 13 children. She died after giving birth to her last, a son, who also died and is buried in the same grave with her. Her cause of death is listed as "uremia". Her husband, Charles (aka "Carl") is buried in the same lot, with cemetery records spelling his last name as "Mauer".
