John also went by the name of Wesley Lee. His occupations through the years was mechanic in Ohio in 1850; 1856 painter in Monroe Co.; and farmer. The family came to Monroe County, Iowa in 1852 and settled on a farm just west of Albia where five of their children were born.
He was the father of seven children, three sons and four daughters. One son and two daughters lived to be adults.
