In 1910, Kenneth M. Swezey, aged 5, was living in Brooklyn, New York, in the home of his parents, Edwin L. Swezey, aged 52, and Carrie B. Swezey, aged 47, with siblings, Martha B. Swezey, aged 18, and Anna F. Swezey, aged 30, a stenographer in a broker's office, with lodgers, William Mooney, aged 59, a carpenter in a shipyard, and Siegfried Mattson, aged 19, a stenographer in a broker's office. His father was shown to be a machinist for an elevator company.

In 1920, Kenneth Swezey, aged 18, was living on Milton Street, Brooklyn, New York, in the home of his parents, Edwin Swezey, aged 61, and Carrie Swezey, aged 57. His father was shown to be an elevator operator in an insurance building.

In 1930, Kenneth Swezey, aged 25, was living at 159 Milton Street, Brooklyn, New York, with his parents, Edward (Edwin) Swezey, aged 72, and Catherine (Carrie) Swezey, aged 70. He was shown to be a freelance writer. His father was shown to be a mechanic doing elevator repairs.

In 1940, Kenneth Swezey, aged 35, was living at 161 Milton Street, Brooklyn, New York. Shown to be a journalist/magazine writer, he lived alone.

Obituary - New York - Kenneth M. Swezey, 67, author of many books explaining scientific principles and workshop applications, died of a heart attack Friday at his home in Brooklyn. Swezey was a regular contributor for many years to Popular Science Magazine. His articles, often illustrated with his own photographs, also appeared in other publications. One of his most recent books, published in 1969 by Harper & Row was entitled "Formulas, Methods, Tips and Data for Home and Workshop." A book for teenagers, "Science Shows You How," was published by McGraw Hill in 1964.
