Peter and Margaret Spomer
Georg. She graduated from
Alexander High School in 1923.
A longtime Rush County resident,
she taught in Alexander schools
and moved to La Crosse In 1936.
She earned her bachelor's degree
from Fort Hays State College In
1964. She retired in 1969, after 46
years of teaching.
She belonged to Peace Lutheran Church,
Alexander from 1907 to 1956, and later
became a member of First Lutheran Church,
La Crosse.
She was a member of county,
state and national teachers organizations,
and belonged to the BPW for many years.
Survivors Include: a sister, Otellia Wassemiller, Hays; five nephews; and five nieces.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday
at First Lutheran Church, La
Crosse, with Pastor Maurice
Shaus presiding. Friends may call
from 9 am. to 8 p.m. today at
Janousek Funeral Home, La
Crosse, and until service time Saturday
at the church. Burial will be in La Crosse City Cemetery.
