Almena "Minnie" Friedericka Kampfe, 94, died Monday, July 20, at the long term residence of the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, at the American Lutheran Church. Rev. David Sites and Rev. Brian Berum will conduct the services which will begin at 10:00 a.m. Music will be provided by Doris and Clifford Geiken and Laura Block, organist. Casket bearers will be Raymond Kampfe, Ruben Kampfe, Vic Aden, Floyd Aden, Rich Ackerman and A. T. Tollefson. Interment will be in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Minnie was born May 20, 1893, to Menhard and Trientje (Meints) Aden in Gothenburg. She was married to Oscar Kampfe in 1916 at Gothenburg. She was a lifetime resident of Gothenburg and a member of the ladies aid and the American Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Walter of Gothenburg and Paul of Dayton, OH; three brothers, Paul Aden of Denver, CO, Emil Aden of Gardena, CA and Jim Aden of Gothenburg, one sister, Josephine (Mrs. Harold) Heath of Hilltop Lakes, TX; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Robert, her parents and two brothers.
Memorial may be made to the American Lutheran Church.
