Charles's siblings:
Richard Jefferson Homsley (died in infancy)
Thomas Chamberlain Homsley (1871-1944)
Lucie Homsley (died in infancy)
Eugene Via Homsley (1877-1983)
Sarah Lillian (Homsley) Jenkins (1888-1983)
Bertha Evalyn (Homsley) Shelnutt (1891-1988).
At a young age, Charles moved from Missouri to St. Helens, Oregon. Although his first name was Cisco, he preferred using the name Charles. Other Homsleys were living in the St. Helens region, according to census records. The family does not know a lot about Charles's life in Oregon, but they know he lived on a peaceful heavily wooded rural road. He did not marry. He passed away at the age of 83.
(In memory of Charles B. Homsley - Services Coleman-Rushing Chapel, 10:00 a.m., 3-29-1962, Reverend Leonard Weinert, Music Merrill Womack, St. Helens, Oregon - 23rd Psalm) and burial in Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 54490 Columbia River Highway, Scappoose, Oregon.
The following note about the property where Charles lived is provided by Find A Grave Member Erin.
The property where Charles lived on Kaster Road is now owned by Boise Cascade paper mill, and the home no longer exists, but there are trees still there. It's in town now, no longer a rural area. But it's just across the way from McCormick Park, a nice park with nature trails, and McNulty creek runs through the Park and the Boise property out to the Columbia River.
