Mrs. Stricklin Dies At Vandalia

Mrs. Susan Stricklin, 91, of Fillmore, the widow of Isaac Stricklin, died Friday morning in the Westmoreland Nursing Home at Vandalia, after a lingering illness.

She was born in Missouri on May 19, 1860, a daughter of Asa and Martha (Chastain) Lovelace. She was twice married, first to Addison King and after Mr. King's death, to Isaac Stricklin, who also preceded her in death. There were no children born to either union. Mrs. Stricklin was a resident of Fillmore for many years.

The only surviving relatives are a brother, Charles Lovelace, of Springfield. Four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. The remains were removed to the Allen funeral home in Fillmore. Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Fillmore and burial was made in Glendale cemetery.
