Civil War "Capt" of Forrests Rangers. He joined COl. Forrest at Ft. Donelson, then beleaguered by Grants Army. He lead a succesful charge upon the Federal troops and fell at the head of his comment. His body was brought back to Memphis and buried with distinguished honors.
