He was a retired businessman, and had been affiliated with the timber, coal and automobile business. Recently he was a partner with his son operating the Central Supply Co. at Flatwoods. He was former director of Home National Bank of Sutton.
Surviving: wife, Orbia; sons, Jack of Stanaford, VA, Luther S. of Bridgeport and Gordon L. of Flatwoods; daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Mott of California, Mrs. Louise Evert of Berkeley Springs; half-sister, Mrs. Sara Berry Hough of Fairmont; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a. m. Wednesday in Stockert-Cutlip Funeral Home in Flatwoods the Rev. Fell R. Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Flatwoods Cemetery.
