Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph T. Schleis, 75, who resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Schleis, 940 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, and who died Monday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. The Rev. James Geenan will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Schleis, nee Sybil Stangel, was born May 11, 1894, at Tisch Mills, daughter of the late Frank W. and Mary Rezach Stangel. She was married to Joseph Schleis Nov. 16, 1914, and the couple resided at West Kewaunee and Tisch Mills where Mr. Schleis operated feed mills. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Society, Holy Family Hospital Guild and American Catholic Lodge. Mr. Schleis died in 1941. Survivors include a son, Norbert, of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Kries, of Manitowoc; a brother, Frank, of Milwaukee; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son, a sister and four brothers preceded her in death. Friends may call at the funeral home, Ninth Street entrance, where at 8 o'clock this Tuesday evening memorial services will be conducted.
