Mrs. Stangel's death was sudden. She had been entertained at a small family gathering at the Spevachek home last night. A heart attack early this morning proved fatal.
Mrs. Stangel, nee Mary Rezac, was born in 1863 in Tisch Mills. She was married to Frank Stangel in 1883. They located in Tisch Mills, where Mr. Stangel engaged in the general mercantile business. Mr. Stangel died in 1924. Two sons now operate the store. Mrs. Stangel was a member of the Altar society, the Catholic Rosary society and the Catholic Union society, all of the St. Mary's parish.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Spevachek of this city, Mrs. Louis Jansky of Rockwood, Mrs. Sybil Schleis of Chicago; five sons, Joseph and Edward of Tisch Mills, Otto of Wheaton, Minn., Dr. Dan F., and Frank, both of Milwaukee."
