Victor C. Konop, age 85, of 955 N. 5th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening,
July 20, 1997, at his residence.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 1997, at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. Earl Brouchoud will celebrate the Mass of
Christian Burial with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tisch Mills.
Mr. Konop was born December 30, 1911, in Tisch Mills, son of the late Joseph and
Rose Forst Konop. On August 10, 1946, he married the former Gladys Mack at St.
Lawrence Catholic Church, Stangelville. Mr. Konop was the former owner of J.J.
Koutnik Monuments Company in Manitowoc. He is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic
Church and a former member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #687, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys, Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law and one
brother-in-law, Mrs. Madge (Art) Singer, El Cajon, Calif., Mrs. Lee Van Meter,
Gernee, Ill., Mrs. Evangeline Konop, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dan Konop, and an
infant sister.
